Visible net or nearly invisible net

For keeping birds out, you can choose between two types of net:

  • Visible net: a regular bird net you can clearly see. A practical choice for ducts, shafts, utility areas, godowns and back areas where the view does not matter.
  • Nearly invisible (transparent) net: a fine, see-through net that blocks the view much less. Popular for front balconies and windows where you want to keep looking outside.

How to decide

  • How much you use the space and care about the view
  • How the net will look on the building from outside
  • What your society allows on the building front
  • Whether the spot is on show or hidden away

We will explain both options and what to expect from each before you decide.

Green shade nets for the Vadodara summer

Vadodara summers are long and hot, and open terraces, top-floor balconies and parking areas take direct sun for most of the day. A green shade net filters a good part of that sun while still letting air through.

Green nets are used for:

  • Shade over terraces, balconies, sit-outs and parking
  • Plants in terrace gardens and nurseries during the hottest months
  • Privacy from overlooking buildings
  • Dust from roads and construction nearby
  • Some protection from birds and falling leaves

Green nets come in different densities, from lighter nets that let more light through to denser nets that give more shade.

Humane and safe installation

Nets keep birds out of a space; they do not harm, trap or injure them. We do not use poison, glue or traps. Before an area is closed, we check that no bird is left inside behind the net. If there is a nest with eggs or chicks, please tell us so the installation can be planned around it.

Netting often means working at balcony edges, windows, shafts and terraces on upper floors. Wherever possible, the work is done safely from inside, and we will tell you honestly if a spot cannot be reached safely.

Bird droppings should be handled with gloves and a mask. People with asthma or other breathing problems should not clean droppings themselves, and should see a doctor if they have health concerns.

Bird Netting FAQ

What is the difference between a visible and a nearly invisible bird net?

Both keep birds out. The visible net is a regular bird net you can clearly see, suited to ducts, shafts and back areas. The nearly invisible net is a fine transparent net that blocks the view much less, which suits front balconies and windows.

Do bird nets harm pigeons?

No. A net only stops birds from entering a space. We do not use poison, glue or traps, and we check that no bird is left inside before the net is closed.

Do you install bird spikes or remove nests?

No. We provide netting only: bird and pigeon nets, and green shade nets. If birds are getting into a balcony, window or duct, a net is usually the most reliable way to keep them out.

What is a green net used for?

Green shade nets give shade on terraces, balconies, parking areas and gardens, add privacy, and reduce dust and falling leaves. They let air through but are not a rain cover.

Can a green net replace a bird net?

Not fully. A green net gives some protection from birds, but it is made for shade. For keeping pigeons out of a balcony, window or duct, a proper bird net is the better choice.

Do I need society permission for netting?

Many societies have rules about fittings on the building front, terraces or shared ducts. Please check with your society office before booking so the work is not held up.

Do you work on commercial buildings and godowns?

Yes. We install bird nets and green nets for shops, offices, commercial buildings, godowns and sites as well as homes. Share photos and the size of the area so we can plan.

How much does netting cost?

It depends on the size of the area, the type of net, the height and how it needs to be fixed. The price is agreed on the phone after we understand the job, usually from photos you send.
