Crawling pests in homes and kitchens

We use two kinds of medicine:

• Standard medicines, which can have a mild smell for a while after treatment
• Odourless options, which suit homes with small children, elderly family members or people sensitive to smells, as well as offices, restaurants, hotels and shops that need to open again soon

Odourless options are available for many treatments, but not every treatment. Please ask when booking, tell us about anyone at home with asthma or other breathing problems, and we will explain what is possible for your job.

Mosquitoes are one of the most common problems in Vadodara, especially during and after the monsoon. We offer two ways to treat them:

• Smoke (fogging): a fogger unit spreads a fog through the area to reach flying mosquitoes. See our fogging service.
• Medicine-based (spray treatment): medicine is sprayed on the surfaces and spots where mosquitoes rest and breed. See mosquito control.

For larger spaces, we also do road and society fogging for roads, compounds, gardens and common areas of societies and campuses. Fogging works best when standing water is also removed, so we will point out breeding spots we notice.

Mosquitoes can spread illness. If anyone has a fever or feels unwell, please see a doctor; pest control is not medical treatment.

Termites often work out of sight, inside walls, door frames and wooden furniture. By the time you see mud tubes or hollow-sounding wood, they may have been active for a while.

Termite control treats the affected areas and the routes termites use to reach the wood. For longer-term protection, a termite piping system lays pipes with injection points under or around the building. Treatment can then be pumped in again later without drilling the floor. It can be planned before construction, and in existing buildings where the layout allows.

Termites and cockroaches also use electrical conduits. Our switch board dusting treatment puts a dry powder inside switch boards and electrical points, and cotton plugging closes the conduit openings. We never spray liquid into electrical points.

Monsoon

Heavy rain and humidity bring the most problems. Standing water helps mosquitoes breed, cockroaches and drain flies come up from drains, centipedes (kankhajura) move indoors from wet ground, and damp walls and wood make termite activity more likely. Rats often move inside when their burrows flood.

Summer

In the hot, dry months, ants come indoors looking for water and food, and house flies build up around waste bins and eateries. Cockroaches stay active in warm kitchens and behind appliances.

Winter

Outdoor activity slows down, but indoor pests carry on. It is a sensible time to deal with termites and to plan a piping system or treatment before the next monsoon.

Older pols, apartment societies, bungalows, row houses and new construction all have their own weak spots, and so do shops, restaurants, hotels and godowns with stock and packaging.

4. Treatment: we treat what is needed, with standard or odourless medicine where available, and tell you what to expect over the next few days.
5. Prevention advice: simple steps to stop the problem building up again.

Before treatment, please cover or put away food, utensils and drinking water, and keep children and pets away from treated areas until we say it is fine to return. Tell us in advance about pregnancy, breathing problems, pets, birds or an aquarium so we can plan accordingly.
